We traveled to Louisiana this past Thursday to go on a camping trip with Jason's family. However, we discovered the cabins we planned to stay in were booked so we decided to stay at home, grill outside, let the kids swim, and visit. We chose this alternative because the heat outside would be almost unbearable for the kids....we've had fun nonetheless.
Tomorrow we are heading back to Louisiana with my mother in tow....yayyy!
We are all so excited that she is going back home with us to spend a week. My boys adore their "mee maw" and I look forward to spending time with mom myself (those days are few and far between).

- I grew up on a farm in LaCamp, which is a small little country town in central Louisiana. The aspects of the country I miss the most is being able to see the stars without the "taint" of the city lights, wide open spaces, and old familiar faces. But most of all, I miss family. Jason and I have two amazing little boys who are so happy and full of life! We have made some wonderful friends while living in Texas and are happy to call this our home. Although our country roots will always keep us "grounded", we enjoy living in Lewisville where there are so many opportunities for our family of four.
