On June 16th, 2011, we celebrated Preston’s 4th birthday. I can’t believe 4 years have passed since we welcomed our baby boy into the world! This past year, Preston has become much more independent and is very active with imaginative play and keeping up with his big brother!
This past fall, Preston attended 2 days of PreK3 at the Christian Learning Center at our church. He knows his alphabet, colors, shapes, and can recite the Lord’s Prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance and made some serious headway on reciting Psalm 139. Preston also attended his first full year of “Cubbies” aka Awanas where he memorized bible verses each week. He also participated in Prestonwood’s children’s choir, which he truly enjoyed! Preston loves singing and looked forward to going to choir practice each week. It was so fun (and cute) at the end of the year to see the culmination of his practice through their end of season choir performances.
Preston completed his second full year of swim lessons and has finally learned to “swim like a shark” (as he likes to say). He is now excited to be in the water and wants to go swimming every day. It’s been fun to see Preston’s sweet personality shine as he becomes older. He shares very nicely with Jackson but doesn’t like it so much if something is taken away from him unwillingly:)! Now that he is older, it’s so nice to experience my boys playing well together. Preston loves Jackson dearly and wants to do everything his older brother does. I pray Jackson and Preston will always be the best of friends.
